Balaka fans voted and have recognised the best talented acts in different categories in Urban Music.
WAYOB department Released the nominees list on 10 December 2019 through Facebook for Youth of Balaka to vote for their favourite act.
To be generous, the votes cast were all on point, "Amene waluza akufunika alimbikire" , 598 People Voted In Dancehall reggae Category, Artists of the year 417 people voted, Best Upcoming Artist 888 People Voted, Best Pop Artist 358 People Voted, Best HipHop Artist 377 People Voted, Best Duo 670 People Voted, Best Dj 93 People Voted and Best Female Artist 153 People Voted 147 Girls and 6 Boys.
For the first time in the history of Balaka Music Awards, WAYOB Music Awards has been marked as a most superb festival ever!
The previous Awards were allegedly choosing and awarding FACEBOOK ARTISTS rather than Real Talented Artists.
Stevie M is purported to have connived with organisers to bypass the system promising voters that they'll be offered free photo shoot at his studio. The ordeal was flopped.
