Put the three together, then you have a cream of talent.

Now the trio has teamed up to deliver a single titled Chisankho which is getting rave reviews.

In an interview, Malceba said he was motivated to write the song because of the political situation in the country where Malawians are once again preparing to elect a President in a fresh presidential election on July 2.

“We decided to use the same political concept, but as a love song. That is why the song has a few mentions of political names and events,” he said.

Malceba said since Malawians are passing through a difficult time, he hopes the song will in its own way comfort his fans.

On his decision to collaborate with Saint and Lulu, Malceba said it was a pleasure as their working chemistry was off the charts.

He said: “Lulu is a legend whom I have always wanted to work with. He has stayed relevant for years so, I look up to him and I thought he would be perfect for this song.

“I have worked with Saint before. We are always working on material together. So, we already have a great working relationship which when executed perfectly, brings out amazing projects.”

Produced by Janta, the song is the first single from Malceba’s yet-to-be-titled album to be released this year.

In a separate interview, Saint said it was a humbling experience to work with Malceba and Lulu on the song.

“Lulu is legendary as an artist and Malceba is one talented rapper. Coming together as artists is what brings out strength and good products in the industry,” he said.

Saint said the reaction from fans is wonderful and many have welcomed the song.

“The experience in the studio with these two was a learning experience. It was great,” he said.

The song goes in part:

“Mummie iwe ndasankha, no regret

There is no recount,

Mummie iweee ndasankha, there is no regret

Palibe wina, basi no wina, ndinu owina”

Writing on his Facebook page, Lulu said he appreciates the support the song is getting : “@Malceba Marley, you see the reaction? Let’s release the video already.”

The song’s video is expected to be out this weekend.
