Two men have been netted at Dowa Police for being found with fake Malawian bank notes after sex workers tipped the police of the ordeal at Dowa Boma.
The two suspects are Aaron Nkhata (23) and Batson Kantepa (24) according to Dowa Police PRO Richard Kaponda.
Kaponda stated that the police were alerted by two sex workers(names withheld) saying the two individuals were allegedly sleeping with sex workers at the BOMA and give them the fake notes.
The police followed up the allegation and managed to capture them as they were escaping to Dzaleka refugee camp.
Upon searching they were found with K141,000.00 fake money all in K1,000.00 notes.
Apparently, the police are Investigating the case to trace the source of the money.
