An opportunity has risen at Merry Year International (MYI) one of the Korean non-profit organizations leading education, health, and agricultural development projects based in T/A Mavwere, Mchinji District.
MYI works across the globe to improve the living standards of people by intervening in agriculture, education and health.
For the education sector, we provide cluster members to educational opportunities from Nursery school to Tertiary student.
In an effort to strengthen its technical capacity, MYI invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following vacant position.
POSITION: EDUCATION SECTOR COORDINATOR AND DRIVER (PLURAL OFFICES)
Reporting to: Education Senior - Coordinator
Location: Lilongwe Malawi office, T/A Mavwere, Mchinji District
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
√Coordinate activities of education development projects
√Manage the day to day matters relating meetings and programs with School officials, parents, and Students
√Organize parent, teacher, advisor meeting (PTA meeting), motivation meeting, and other relevant meetings
√Ensure effective communication of all education activities to all stakeholders
√Plan orientation of villagers for a school scholarship
√Develop mechanisms to improve sector capacity for all levels
√Provide weekly, monthly, annual work plans on the education sector
√Report to education senior-coordinator for any relevant issue.
REQUIREMENTS:
√High score in Malawi School Certificate of Education Examination (MSCE Examination)
√Minimum 3 years of practical experience in development organizations such as NGOs
√Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
√Driving license, and no car accident for recent 3 years
√Must be in good standing with village headmen in the cluster
√Lives in Lilongwe, Malawi.
