17-year-old Lingalathu Soko is an enthusiastic beauty pageant who believes modelling is a tool for social change. The self-made model shared her determination in an interview with MalawiTunes recently.
"I am a model because I feel I have what it takes to be a good model" she says
"modeling makes me happy.I want to show young woman that age doesn’t restrict them from doing what you like and that all you need is determination!"
Even though she has not attended any formal modelling school ,Linga seems to be kniting the best of her career out of the inspiration she gets from TV shows.
" I have just finished my form 5 at mount Sinai. I haven’t been taught anything related to modeling all I do is watch tv , practice and come up with new ideas. In general I developed this by myself"
She further states that the profession has earned her more guts to stay confident about her personality and goals.
" I have no insecurities about who i am. I'm happy with what I do and it's all fine with me" emphasised the youngster who intends to open up her own modeling school for all age groups and make sure the industry is taken seriously.
"I want people to see the potential henceforth discover more hidden talents in young ladies"
She envisions.
