Malawian young poetic blood , Rodwell Lumbe has collaborated with veteran poet Dr Benedicto Okoma atani Malunga in his latest poem dubbed Mkanangweu set to be released on 28 April this year .
The poem, his first in 2021 is a representation of young generation facing the aged,it has clearly tackled the abuse that the elderly face ranging from physical to emotional torture.
Rodwell Lumbe a prolific bilingual spoken word poet, writer and performer, in a villain's voice has artistically issued jabs and uppercuts to the age , accusing the old of being lazy hence denying them food and other basic needs of life.

As if that is not enough, the persona with the power of literature has acused the addressee of his message who is the an old man, accusing him of killing his own wife by the use of witchcraft.

A Biomedical Engineer by profession with perfect art of the deep and rich vocabulary in in chichewa ,Rodwell has carried the voice of abuse in the first verse before Dr Okomaatani came in to complete master piece.
Okomaatani, with his deep coaxing voice wearing the tone and the message of the aged he has issued the voice to the voiceless by justifying why the aged can't go to farm and denounced witchcraft accusations in verse two.
Here is the voice of the addressee hitting back to the accuser, the young generation in somber mood calling the youths to understand the change that goes with time .

Overall lesson, the two generations represents time, and the jabs and justification calls for a cease fire to all the abusers of the elderly,Rodwell and Okomaatani have perfectly announced poetry dominance to end the fight against the abuse on the elderly.
