Ralph Kapanga is a Malawian blossoming reggae artist and an accomplished networks engineer based in the United Kingdom. Kapanga holds a BSc. Electrical Engineering obtained in 2012 from the University of Malawi, The Polytechnic. His passion for music dates back to his childhood age when he was mostly involved in singing with catholic church choirs. Kapanga has two albums to his credit. His debut album, Rise Malawi, was recorded between 2018 and 2019 by his namesake Ralph Ching’amba at Ralph Records Studios. Headlined by Skeffa Chimoto, the album was launched at Modern Park in Balaka on 29th May, 2020. Mfumu Ahab is his second album which he has just finished recording with Amos Mlolowa at Active A Records. He has so far released four promotional singles from the album and is expected to hold a colorful album launch in October, 2022. The tracks released on promotion are Uwusamalire, Tsankho, Sindikumudziwa and the album title itself Mfumu Ahab which is inspired by a biblical story of the Israeli King Ahab.
