1. Who is warner chandie? -Well to begin with, warner chandie comes from my actual name which is Wanangwa N. Chandiona. Breaking it down to my stage name waRnerChandie born 12 July 1999 and raised in Mzuzu
2. How did the name warner chandie come to be? - My friends and family used to cut the name Wanangwa Chandiona to wana chandi. I just had to go with it to the music scene but I spiced it up in the way of writing into WaRnerChandie.
3. When did you start doing music? - Music has been my thing from way back. I commenced studio recording in the year 2016.
4. What inspired you to join rap music? - The TV, Growing up watching music videos on TV played a bigger role on my rapping motives. I can’t lie, seeing the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Wretch 32 on TV doing their thing inspired me a lot all I wanted was to see myself doing that too and here we are.
5. Describe what music is to you in a statement? - That's a tough one. You see they are many genres/types of music out there positive, negative, uplifting, dance you can name it and I only vibe with good music, I consider music to be a healer in times of pain, a friend when no one else is there to talk to, joy, medicine, cheerer &Teacher because you can learn too via music. Music is life to me.
6. What is your favorite song from all your songs and why? - At the meantime MombeRa cause it explains my origin. People need to know where I'm from first before they get to hear the story of my life. I believe people love to listen to real life stories, situations, lessons, places komwe amachoka and stuff. With that being said, my approach to music is real life stories, lessons and no faking in my raps.
7. How has your music career been like? - With the little experience I have. I can't talk much on that because am kind of up and still coming. Right now sit backs and stuff here and there. I only choose to trust the process I believe there is more to come.
8. What should we expect from you in the year 2020? - Not here to brag or to just promise things, but let’s just say good music.
9. What words do you live by? - Everything is possible. What you put in, is what you get out. Hard work always pays. Put in the work and trust process.
