THERE IS NO WINE

I have played the song a few times. Then I thought about writing a review but I didn't get to take my time and write it. It's amazing to see Mlaka back on the scene.

Most of us grew up listening to his music and now we are adults and we find ourselves still playing his work.

"They have no wine" as the song goes. The song takes its lesson and sermon from the time when Jesus attended a wedding where he was invited (enanu paja mmangopita ku ukwati koti you were not invited kukangodya osafupanso). At this wedding people had wine and on the last day they found out that the wine is finished. Now imagine at a wedding where there's nothing but happiness and dancing and everything positive then you should hear that there is no wine (the good food and drinks that are needed). You could find yourself in the newspaper the following day.

Jesus' mother realizing that her Son is someone who can do something about it goes to him to ask for help. She just tell the people to do whatever he tells them to do. And it happens that he turned water into wine. The MC wondered how they kept good wine at the end when in actual sense there was now new wine.

Mlaka Maliro has taken us back to that time and has given us an application of the scenario. He has narrated to us how things are going in this country.

What happens when there is no wine? Who are we going to call when we ourselves have run out of wine. The wine in Malawi could be the provisions we depend on. We choose leaders in Church, politicians in governments. When they have ran out of the vision and desire to see people free from poverty what are they going to do?

Let's ask Jesus Christ to help us and provide for us tisachite manyazi.
