Ettah chirwa (20) is a Lilongwe based model who always dreamt about developing a postivite perception in people through modelling.
She regards the profession as a communication tool to drive a positive mindset in youths especially girls.
"I got interested in modeling because I saw it as one way in which l can communicate with fellow youth, encourage young girls that they are capable of doing anything in life"
The young lady found it rewarding to pursue the profession alongside her Journalism career .Ettah reveals that she still has the burning desire to combine the two professions so to be influential."I was studying journalism at Malawi Institute Journalsim and i hope to further my studies even though i faced some challanges"
This passionate lady attributes to herself as confident , dedicated and hardworking. She further expresses her willingness to work to take up any modelling assignments anywhere in the country and beyond.
"My major goal is to put my country on a map in terms of modelling industry. l want tp be called the best model someday, and be able to represent out there..with the support of family and friends l see myself progressing very well in this industry"
The Young lady is geared to take up the challanges in the industry and has so far managed to master advertisement and communication skills as a way to thrive.
According to her, modelling has boundaries. Thus one has to be conscious with the environments they get into.
"As a model l do also have moral values.l can not model something am not comfortable with or will portray a bad image about me.Limitations have to be there" She says.
