Marvin Williams whose real name is Marvin Chapambana is a young upcoming artist based in Blantyre.
Marvin Williams who was born in 2000, came in the game with the first hit titled KING NSWATI in 2017.
In his early stages of being an artist Marvin used to do dancehall until in 2015 when he switched to hiphop and his first projects as a rapper were in that same year in which some of them he did with his fellow crew members.
Talking about crew, Marvin Williams is in a music crew which is known as Rezin Gang in which consists of several hard working upcoming artists like 2PM, Wil Stephens, H. Guanine and Marvin Williams.
Since the group was formed, they have been in different occasions but one of the biggest was at the GHETTO KING KONG's show in Ndirande which was hosted by Fredokiss. This event was also a greatest thing that ever happened to this young man Marvin Williams. Speaking to our reporter, Marvin Williams said that the show was a best thing that has happened to his music career and also the time his song was once played on radio station after several rejections from other radio stations.
Even though he stated the good things but challenges are likely to happen when everyone is doing something. In Marvin Williams case, he encountered some challenges in which one of it is the one that has been mentioned up there that his songs were once rejected at the famous programs on big radio stations also that there was a time when everyone used to tell him that English music could not take him anywhere taking that here in Malawi people are fond of vernacular music. Williams chose to stick to the thing that he considered real him and that was English music and he is still working on it with a hope that things will go the same way where Classick, Tsar Leo, Third eye and Hayze Engola are now.
Just like every upcoming artist, Marvin Williams also has a problem to fund his music when it comes to studio and promo time but still never let that to be his reason of failing to follow his dreams.
