Bonky whose real name is Innocent Mhango, is a dancehall and afro pop musician based in Lilongwe. Bonky who was born on 31st December 1989 started music way back in which he identifies his talent as an inborn thing.
When Bonky was doing his primary school, his parents noticed his talent then they started supporting him to a point that they bought him a piano and a guitar. Bonky continued showing his talent in different places until in 2010 when he recorded his first song, which was followed by couple of projects.
At that time he did not get much support from people around him taking on that everyone thought he could not push it that far, the he took a very slow pace.
When he was asked by our reporter on how he survived all those jabs and critics, Bonky responded that he knew what he was after then he kept his head up to ignore all that so that he could continue pursuing his dreams.
Even though Bonky is not under any management but he decides to create a record label which he named it "Darkstars Entertainment".
Currently there's no artist signed under this record label but his dreams are to do so and he added that he is also available if anyone is willing to sign him under their record label.
Being an upcoming artist does not stop him from focusing on bigger things, Bonky said that he sees himself as an international artist in the next two years.
Besides having dreams for that long, he also promised to give his best before this year (2019) ends. People should expect more videos and more good music from him.
At the end of the interview with our reporter, Bonky said that to those people who are now following him should expect all his best when he releases a song.
He also had few things to say from his fellow upcoming artists that they should pursue their dreams and see no chance of giving up.
