1. Who is baseline?
-baseline is a music duo composed of Greak and Noisy Moi
2. How did the name baseline come to existence?
- the name baseline was created after we(noisy & greak) recorded their first song, they were
inspired by the likes of mafikizolo. To them the name baseline means to them that they are
moving into the line of music, the base of music to be exact.
3. What genre is baseline most based in?
- Afro dancehall is our genre, since we fuse up afro style and dancehall style
4. Baseline’s last release was “window”, how far did that song uplift your music career?
- The song “window” helped us realize we can do more than we think, more music and to add
it up it brought us closer as a duo
5. “Love addiction” is a project that you have been recently working on and soon will be released,
what should people expect from this new project?
- Love addiction is a bang, people should really expect something great from it because its fire
6. You are a new duo in the music industry, how is the music industry from your perception?
- Its not easy to make it in this industry, we encounter a lot of challenges but despite that we
will always stand no matter what the industry throws at us
7. What should Malawi expect from baseline?
- Malawi should expect a lot because we are here to deliver mind blowing music, taking one
step at a time and trusting the process.
8. Before we reach our conclusion, how did the duo begin?
- Greak: I knew noisy moi as an actress, through a friend. When I visited the friend, we used
to listen to beats together, and she would rap and do some crazy things, then one day I just
asked if we dan record a song together. I realized being close to her she would motivate me
to be better in music, I viewed her as guy rather than a lady, especially in the she did her
music. Since being a long time fan of mafikizolo, I decided that I and her should form a duo
and which we did and boom baseline was born.
- Noisy Moi: we saw potential in each other and decided to create the duo in which we can
grow our music, and learn a lot from each other as we move forward.
9. What is the vision with your music?
- We want to go as far as the music can take us.
10. Any last words to the warm heart of Africa?
- Malawi should start to listen to music and understand the concept not only mere out of
music style or anger beats. Give upcoming artist a chance to blow your minds.
